This kind of fills my empty heart. :) I like this bold, horse, copper cuff. Why copper? The stone is Opalized, fossilized wood with natural copper streaks running through it. The metal was a no brainer when making this piece. I still plan to make another, copper, serpent cuff with the same kind of stone. We shall see what the next design brings. This one is my “temporary heart filler.” :)
Sometimes one gets away: I made a cuff that I LOVED!!! Like most of the pieces I make, I was super excited (& frustrated) during the fabrication process. When finished, the piece sat in my jewelry drawer. I thought I should sell it to someone that would appreciate it. It sold rather quickly. I was conflicted -happy it was going to a person that loved it & sad to see something I was still attached to leave. I didn’t realize the amount of regret I would feel. As I now go without a watch, I am KICKING myself for letting go of that bracelet. I am trying to make a “similar” piece; but, it can never be replicated “exactly” because the stone was so beautiful & one of a kind. I’m on the search to make something that fills my aching heart. :)
A behind the scenes peek:
DURING: Copper Horse cuff with opalized, petrified wood, natural copper streaks
A behind the scenes “peek”: It all begins with an idea. My hope is to share the messy & sloppy “behind the scenes” moments. Creativity is sometimes messy & sloppy. It isn’t polished, right away. Deleted scenes & bloopers at the end of a movie are real life people & events. I hope to share the messy “during” photos & stories, here. You can’t truly appreciate the final product until you see the work that went into it. “How it’s made” photos as well as art show prepping and dates of upcoming shows will be shared. -Hoping we can meet in real life.
